LIGA HOKI SELANGOR 2009 - Week 4
A total of 11 matches was played over Week-4 of the Selangor Hockey League 2009. OLAK stepped up the challenge by confidently defeating Selangor Sikhs 6-1. OLAK opened scoring on the 8th minute as Vikneswaran L coverted a penalty stroke awarded by Umpire Ashri Muda .
OLAK was leading comfortably 4-0 by half time with field goals from Pragesh Ramachandran 20th & 32nd minute and Vikneswaran L adding another goal to his tally on the 31st minute.
In the 2nd half OLAK took it easy but still managed to add 2 more goals thru Adbullah Sani via field goal in the 54th minute and OLAK Captain Nur Hrsikesa bin Dr Mohd Murni on the 64th minute with a penalty corner conversion. Selangor Sikh pulled one back on the 66th minute thru Sukhdev Singh.
KJLJD continued to lead the table with a convincing victory over UiTM 4-1 and sharing points with RAMD Sunday night in 1 -1 draw. KJLJD in its match with RAMD took the lead in the 28th minute as Mohd Azhan bin Abdul Wahab pounced on a defensive lapse by RAMD on the 28th minute to give JLJ the lead. RAMD came back strongly and it did not take long to find the equaliser. Mohd Khairul Nizam reverse shot form an advantage played by Umpire Kuganeson found the top right post and Mohd Hanip Che Halim was quick to pounce on the rebound and slap the ball into the back of the net. In the second half it was end to end attack. KJLJD keeper Mohd Razain bin Ramly was at his best when he pulled off 2 excellent save to force the draw and take KJLJD back to the top of the table.
MBPJ challenge for the Division 1 title fizzled out with successive losses to UiTM (1-6) and JLJ (1-4).
