Out of eight singles and doubles Malaysian player competing in Round One of the French Open yesterday, only six advance to the next round.

In men’s singles, Lee Chong Wei, Hafiz Hashim and Wong Choong Hann won their respective match. However, Wong Mew Choo, seeded eight in this tournament failed to advance to Round Two of the women’s singles category.
